Redwood Systems, Fremont, Calif., a manufacturer of building-performance lighting solutions, and Anixter, Skokie, Ill., announced an agreement where Anixter will distribute Redwood Systems' line of lighting control products across North America. The partnership will provide Redwood with access to Anixter's global presence and well-known brand, while Anixter will add energy efficiency and sustainability solutions to its customer offering. Redwood Systems' lighting platform replaces traditional copper wire with a low-voltage infrastructure that uses DC power, as opposed to AC power. This approach allows structured cabling providers to enter the multi-billion dollar lighting market.
