$5,000 SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS Mar 1, 2004 12:00 PM A $5,000 scholarship designed to foster thought leadership in the wholesale distribution industry will be awarded this September to the entrant that writes the best essay discussing how technology will affect the supply chain and the future strategies of wholesaler-distributors. The scholarship is a joint venture of Modern Distribution Management, the newsletter for the wholesale distribution channel, and Pembroke Consulting. “We want to give something back and help create future thought leaders for the industry,” said Pembroke Consulting President Adam J. Fein. Philadelphia-based Pembroke Consulting helps senior executives from wholesale distribution, manufacturing and B2B technology companies build and sustain market leadership. The winning essay will be published in a forthcoming edition of Modern Distribution Management. “Our publication has served the distribution industry for 37 years,” said Modern Distribution Management Editor and Publisher Thomas P. Gale. “We're committed to advancing strategic and operational thinking. This scholarship exactly matches our mission as a resource to help build the future of this industry.” Full-time college students at accredited U.S. universities are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
