Selling Power Magazine Recognizes Graybar Electric Co.

Dec 1, 2002 12:00 PM

Selling Power magazine recognized Graybar as one of the “50 Best Companies To Sell For” in the magazine's November/December issue. The magazine listed Graybar as one of the top service companies to sell for among the largest sales forces in the United States, focusing on three key categories: compensation, training and career mobility.

“This honor illustrates the fact that Graybar has the power and stability of a big company and the integrity and drive of an employee-owned business,” said Robert Reynolds, Graybar president, chairman and CEO.

Graybar has launched a number of key industry initiatives, including an ambitious program in which the company will invest $90 million over the next three years in information-technology infrastructure to improve services to its customers and suppliers. The company-wide IT project began in early 2002, and the first Graybar district will go “live” on the new IT system in early 2003. In addition, Graybar's zone warehouse strategy delivers superior supply-chain logistics capabilities to customers.
