Member attendees at the 30th annual convention of the National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors (NAILD) in March voted the Shat-R-Shield Glow fluorescent lamp the “Most Innovative Product” and “Best New Product” out of the 17 lighting product entries considered. Shat-R-Shield Glow is a T8 fluorescent lamp that generates and produces its own emergency illumination using photo luminescent technology.

Following a complete power loss, the “afterglow effect” from Shat-R-Shield Glow provides illumination for safe and rapid evacuation from a dark area. Interior hallways, stairwells, restrooms, underground parking facilities and mines are ideal applications. Fully-charged, this unique lamp can also be used as a portable light source — even if broken, it still glows within the safety, shatter-resistant coating.
