Sweepstakes Launches New Cable Product

Oct 1, 2005 12:00 PM

Three electrical contractors won 60-inch Philips wide-screen hi-definition televisions as winners of Southwire Co.'s SIMpull Savings Sweepstakes and rebate program.

Romex SIMpull is a nonmetallic cable. Its SIM (Slikqwik Infused Membrane) jacket has been proven to make the cable easier to pull through wall and floor joists as well as around corners. The cable strips more easily, while reducing burn-through when pulled across other cables that are already installed. Southwire developed the SIM jacket based on conversations with electrical contractors about how to help them be more productive.

The three winners were James Bozarth, Innovative Electric, Edmond, Okla.; James Campbell, The Electric Connection, Columbus, Ohio; and Phil Edwards, Jamar Electric, San Diego, Calif.

“We've also been impressed with SIMpull, and have used it regularly since it was introduced,” said Bozarth.

Campbell agreed. “As far as SIMpull is concerned, my people in the field use it and have totally accepted it.” Meanwhile, he's trying to figure out where to put his new TV.

Romex SIMpull is available in unique packaging designed to illustrate the cable's ease of use and time-saving benefits. SIMpull meets all requirements of the UL 719 Nonmetallic-Sheathed Cables standard.
