TEXAS A&M TO HOST MASTER OF INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION SESSIONS

Feb 1, 2003 12:00 PM

Texas A&M University will host information sessions in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Chicago featuring its online graduate program, the Master of Industrial Distribution (MID) Online.

The sessions are an opportunity to meet with Texas A&M faculty and current students, and to sample the program's online courses. Prospective students are encouraged to drop by between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. A presentation will be held at 7 p.m.

The information sessions scheduled are: Chicago, March 6, 2003; Austin, Texas, March 20, 2003; and Dallas (in two locations), March 27, 2003.

Because the courses are delivered online, professionals continue their full-time careers from anywhere in the world while earning the graduate degree. The two-year program teaches professionals to explore and implement solutions to the problems their companies are facing.

Program Coordinator Dr. Ben Zoghi said, “The program fills the career-long educational needs of today's best talent in distribution and manufacturing, independent of time or distance. Our goal is to keep industry professionals at the leading edge of their specialties while offering the same educational opportunities other Texas A&M students receive — access to and participation in a world-class university community.”

MID students attend two weeks in residence at Texas A&M — one week each of the program's two years. The MID is offered through the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution in the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M.
