Traveling Trailer Helps ABB Showcase Low-Voltage Products

Oct 1, 2005 12:00 PM

More than 100 customers visited the ABB Low-Voltage Products Road Show in Chicago the middle of August for a close-up look at drives, controls, instrumentation and process automation solutions on exhibit. The road show, “Results-Driven Power Control,” is making stops in key regional markets to make it easy for customers and channel partners to gather at accessible sites.

One was planned for Portland, Ore., Oct. 4-5; Indianapolis Nov. 1-2; and in 2006, the show travels to Southern California.

Customers see controls and drives products at work inside the low-voltage products trailer. When not at road shows, the trailer is in use in local markets, as industrial distributors introduce even more customers to the wide berth of low voltage products.

The shows bring customers face-to-face with the product experts on the more than 15 ABB product lines on exhibit at each show. Channel partners and industrial distributors are on hand, too, to introduce prospects to the wide array of industrial power control solutions now offered through a single point-of-sales contact.

“Distributors tell us again and again that they want to bring even more customers to the next show,” said Cliff Cole, director of marketing, ABB Inc., Low Voltage Drives. “Seeing the products working in demonstrations at these shows is very compelling.”
