Turtle & Hughes Opens New Location

Turtle & Hughes Inc., the electrical and industrial distribution and integrated supply firm headquartered in Linden, N.J., recently hosted the grand opening of its location in Hamden, Conn. The focal point of the event was the new 2,400-square-foot counter area, which will service the company's existing industrial and contractor customer base, and now will also serve the residential marketplace.

The 42,000-square-foot Hamden location, with a staff of 50, centralizes the company's sales and supply efforts in the Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport, and New London, Conn., areas, serving some 500 customers, according to Tony Ciccaglione, branch manager. The location is home to both the Connecticut Electrical division of the company and its Integrated Supply Program, headed by Jay Drummond Sr.

Turtle & Hughes with annual sales of $220 million and seven locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and Texas.
