United Electric Supply, New Castle, Del., recently won the Delaware Quality Award. United Electric, founded in 1965, received the Gore Award, the highest of three tiers of the Quality Award.

Created in 1992, the award was designed to promote quality throughout the state of Delaware. The award gives companies a method of self-evaluation and recognizes companies that have implemented quality standards resulting in improved customer satisfaction and increased profitability.

In addition to this year's award, United Electric was the recipient of the Delaware Quality Award in 1995 and 1998.
