Lightolier, Fall River, Mass., announced an awards program for its Lytening recessed downlight, the latest extension to its Lytecaster line. The "Bolt to the Blue" awards program offers electrical distributors the chance to earn a four-day/three-night Caribbean cruise by increasing their inventory of Lytecaster stock. Those products include Lytening and Lytecan Frame-in-Kits.

Qualifying distributors will earn an all-expense-paid cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines' Majesty, departing the port of Miami, Fla. in December 1998. Distributors will share the trip with electrical contractors who have earned enough award points through Lytecaster purchases to qualify for the cruise.

The program includes trade advertising and a complete merchandising campaign consisting of point-of-purchase materials, signage, a wall-mountable display complete with installation mock-up, hats and T-shirts, a video demonstration and special truckload stocking incentive programs.
