Sonepar USA has purchased Eck Supply Co., a multi-location regional electrical distributor serving Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Founded in 1955, Eck Supply is a family-owned business in its third generation that grew from a single location in Richmond, Va., to now include multiple locations throughout the southeast. Eck will be part of Sonepar USA’s New England/Mid-Atlantic region, led by Don Block.
Halsey Cook, president of Sonepar USA, said in a press release, “We are pleased to welcome Eck to the Sonepar USA family. Eck helps us build density in the Virginia market, and provides us with an opportunity to add coverage and create new solutions with our core electrical business in the Carolinas.”
Keith Steger, President of Eck, said in that release, “We are excited to join Sonepar USA. This is the right opportunity for our business and we look forward to working with the Sonepar USA team to grow together.”
