The Portland, Ore., branch of EMCOR's Dynalectric Co. subsidiary has been awarded a contract for the replacement of the electrical systems at the Edith Green-Wendell Wyatt Federal Building located in Portland. To be completed in 2013, the Edith Green building is being built to LEED Platinum standards and will be home to innovative, sustainable technologies.Dynalectric will be responsible for replacing the entire electrical, fire alarm and tele/data systems in the 18-story, 500,000-square-foot building.To date, Dynalectric has been closely involved in the Integrated Project Delivery process, including on-site project management and building information modeling (BIM). The job is the largest American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project in Region 10 of the U.S. General Services Administration.
