Eaton Corp., Cleveland, recently launched its PowerAdvantage Academy, an online educational program available through Eaton's award-winning PowerAdvantage Partner Program. In addition to educating resellers about power management and best practices, resellers who meet the proper course requirements are eligible for additional discounts and enhanced lead generation opportunities. The courses are designed to help resellers identify new revenue opportunities and become more knowledgeable advisors to better serve their customers' power management needs. The online 24/7 PowerAdvantage Academy curriculum consists of two tracks — one for resellers retaining their PowerAdvantage Authorization status and a second for new resellers joining the program. The core curriculum, covering Power Basics and Power Management, is the same for both groups.

“As the second largest UPS vendor worldwide, Eaton provides its reseller partners with a comprehensive product portfolio, helping them to offer best-of-breed power management solutions for their customers,” said Ramesh Menon, global IT channel manager for Eaton's Distributed Power Quality Division. “PowerAdvantage Academy is another resource for resellers to fully understand their customers' power quality needs. We want our resellers to know they can rely on Eaton to help them gain knowledge, increase revenue and foster customer relationships.”

Existing PowerAdvantage partners must complete the core curriculum by Dec. 30, 2011 to maintain authorization status. New resellers joining the PowerAdvantage Partner Program must complete the core curriculum within 120 days in order to obtain authorization status. Resellers who meet certain criteria can take Virtualization Power Management and Data Center Power courses. For more information about the program and benefits, visit www.PowerAdvantage.eaton.com.
