Epicor Software Corp., Irvine, Calif., has unveiled Epicor Distribution Express Edition (aka Epicor Express), a cloud-based, on-demand version of its Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for distributors. Epicor Express offers comprehensive end-to-end Cloud ERP system that builds on the success of its cloud-based manufacturing offering as well as on-demand versions of its recently acquired Prophet 21 and Epicor Eclipse systems. Epicor Express is delivered in the software as a service (SaaS) model. The solution is licensed on a subscription basis with “minimal up-front costs,” Epicor said.

“Growing, independent distributors often face capital constraints and operational challenges,” said Kevin Roach, executive vice president and general manager, ERP Americas, for Epicor. “We developed Epicor Express specifically to address these issues; so they can realize world-class capabilities, but in a model that dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of implementing a business system.”
