Ideal Industries, Sycamore, Ill., is rolling out an industrial-grade version of its TightSight clamp meter. To help stimulate upgrades to the new TightSight, which features a hardened case and dials and high-frequency rejection (HFR) technology to assure accuracy in electrically noisy environments, Ideal is launching a promotion at its distributors called Cash 4 Clamps. The program rewards buyers of a new meter with a free Ideal Voltaware non-contact voltage tester, plus cash rebates when they send in their old clamp meter. For the purchase of a 660A model the electrician will receive a $75 rebate, and $100 if they buy the 1,000A meter.
