NEMRA Forum to Tackle Leadership Issues

Members of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA), Tarrytown, N.Y., and its NEMRA Manufacturers Group (NMG) will discuss succession planning and personnel development in a panel discussion entitled, "Leadership and Development for the Next Generation," in the NMG Forum at NEMRA's 35th Annual Conference, to be held Feb. 17-19 in New York.

Independent electrical representatives participating in the NMG panel discussion on Feb. 17 are: Willis J. Milner, United Electrical Sales, Orlando, Fla.; Kelly Boyd, Electrorep, Sausalito, Calif; and Tom Fisher, Fishco and Associates, St. Louis.

Providing the manufacturers' perspective will be: John Hoffman, Wiremold, West Hartford, Conn.; Jeff Sherman, PW Eagle, Eugene, Ore.; and Gary Norris, Ilsco, Cincinnati. Facilitating the NMG Forum will be Robert Wendover, managing director of The Center for Generational Studies, Aurora, Colo. The session will be moderated by Jim Lucy, editor, Electrical Wholesaling.

In addition to the Feb. 17 NMG Forum, the NEMRA conference will feature the following educational seminars:
•Optimizing the Manufacturer-Rep Relationship - Larry Fisher, Erico, Solon, Ohio
•The Changing International Marketplace - Paul Eitmant, industry consultant
•Managing the New Workforce - Robert Wendover, Center for Generational Studies
Other seminars at the NEMRA meeting will focus on the needs of agency nonprincipal employees. They include:
• Basic Selling Skills - Bob Ayrer, sales consultant
•Time and Territory Management - Steve Waterhouse, consultant
Another highlight of NEMRA's 35th annual Conference will be the Feb. 18 keynote address by Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City and the best-selling author of "Leadership.
