Monarch Electric Co., West Caldwell, N.J., was awarded the contract to supply all electrical supplies for maintenance to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, according to a posting on Monarch Electric's Web site.

The five-year contract began on Jan. 1 and is estimated to be worth several million dollars. Monarch Electric adds the Port Authority to its growing portfolio of state, municipal and institutional contracts, a market area Monarch has grown over the last few years.
