Aug 28, 2006 12:49 PM

Towering over the sandy strands of much of Florida’s Atlantic and Gulf coasts, high-rise condominiums are often a posh getaway for snowbirds from the Northeast or Midwest or the well-deserved retirement nests for retired gray eagles. According to a recent report in Engineering-News Record (ENR), because of a recently signed law, residential buildings in Florida more than 75 feet tall must generators and fuel tanks with a minimum of five days of operating capacity.
