Hoffman (Anoka, Minn.): Margie Basney has joined the company as national sales manager, electrical, with Hoffman's six electrical region managers reporting

Hoffman (Anoka, Minn.): Margie Basney has joined the company as national sales manager, electrical, with Hoffman's six electrical region managers reporting directly to her. Previously, Basney was vice president of sales and marketing for Northland Electric Supply. In another organizational move, Steve Dick has been promoted to director of marketing. A four-year Hoffman veteran, Dick has also held numerous marketing, sales and operations positions with Honeywell.

Osram Sylvania (Danvers, Mass.): Osram Sylvania has announced personnel changes in its Sylvania Lighting Services division. Robert Nigrello, formerly manager of sales operations for General Lighting's industrial and commercial channel, has been appointed vice president Sylvania Lighting Services. Dwight Kitchen has been appointed director of sales for Sylvania Lighting Services. Kitchen had managed General Lighting's Commercial Engineering Group since 1997. Additionally, the following individuals have been appointed to the Electronic Control Systems division: Joseph Italiano, controller; Kenneth Kindness, manufacturing operations manager; Tod Besse, director of sales and customer service; Mike Williams, manager of product marketing; Dave Reid, manager of strategic marketing; and John Kingma, human resources.

The Hite Co. (Altoona, Pa.): A 19-year Hite veteran, Ronald R. Eberhart Jr. has been named senior vice president/chief operating officer and will direct the company's sales and operations functions. T. Scott Lawhead, previously director of operations and store manager for the New Castle, Pa., facility, has been named division sales manager for the central store locations. Paul Shields, with 22-years at Hite, including his previous assignment as store manager at the Williamsport, Pa., facility, has been named division sales manager for the northern store locations. Scott Cessna has been named chief financial officer/treasurer. He was hired as controller three years ago.

Stuart C. Irby Co. (Jackson, Miss.): Mike Leech has been named vice president of logistics. A 20-year company veteran, Leech was most recently vice president of the company's Northern Allen-Bradley sales region. Eddie Moak has been appointed industry vice president for the Central utility region, managing sales operations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York and Tennessee. Clay Cummins, formerly vice president of sales and marketing with Irby Utility Supply Inc., an Irby affiliate, has been appointed industry vice president of the Western utility region. He will oversee Irby's utility sales operations in Texas. Former Jackson, Miss., district utility manager Ray Whaley has been named industry vice president of the Eastern utility region with responsibility for Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas. Tony Perry has been named corporate director of sales and marketing. He most recently served as a strategic accounts manager.

Galvan Industries Inc. (Harrisburg, N.C.): Galvan has announced the appointment of two new sales agencies in the Western United States. Arizona Sun Sales, Phoenix, and Healy-Mattos, Hayward, Calif., now represent Galvan's complete line. Both agencies will maintain local inventory to provide prompt access to the manufacturer's line.

Acuity Brands (Atlanta, Ga.): The parent company of Lithonia Lighting and Holophane, Acuity has appointed John K. Morgan as chief operating officer and senior executive vice president. Prior to this appointment, Morgan was Holophane's president and executive vice president of Acuity Brands.

Maurice Electrical Supply Co. (Washington, D.C.): Maurexco, the export division of Maurice Electrical Supply Co., has promoted Michael Donaldson to manager at the Laurel, Md., subdivision. Donaldson has 15 years experience in electrical distribution, most recently in Maurice's inside sales department.

Hagemeyer North America (Atlanta): The following appointments have been announced at Hagemeyer North America: Chris Union, formerly senior vice president, sales and service, has been appointed president, industrial group. In his new role, Union will oversee the company's national accounts, regional accounts and OEM business. Richard Harrison, formerly the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Vallen Corp., a subsidiary of Hagemeyer North America, has been appointed executive vice president, national accounts. Mo York, formerly a region vice president, has been appointed senior vice president, industrial sales. David Oldfather, formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer of Tristate Electrical & Electronics, a Hagemeyer North America subsidiary, has been appointed executive vice president, electrical contractors. James Sipe, formerly the corporate service leader, has been appointed vice president, operations. Philip Waddell, Hagemeyer's director of distribution centers, was appointed vice president. Deb Holden joined Hagemeyer in April as vice president, human resources. She was formerly the vice president, human resources and benefits development for ING Americas.

Kirby Risk Electrical Supply (Lafayette, Ind.): Kathy McCollough has been appointed area lighting system specialist. Most recently she was commercial and industrial lighting specialist. Monica Hanlin has also joined the area lighting specialist team. She joined the company in 1996 and most recently worked in the commercial lighting/projects department.

A. A. MacPherson Co. Inc. (Canton, Mass.): The company has opened a regional sales office in Syracuse, N.Y. Timothy Sparks, an industry veteran, will manage the Syracuse office and cover the central and western upstate territory. Neal Gately will continue his sales efforts in Eastern New York. The New York office will be supported by the MacPherson Co.'s New England corporate office and distribution center.

Belden Electronics Division (Richmond, Ind.): Brian O'Connell was recently promoted to vice president, sales and marketing for the Americas Operation. O'Connell joined Belden in July 1999 as vice president and general manager of the division's Alpha Wire Co. operations.

Border States Electric Supply (Fargo, N.D.): Tammy Miller has been named executive vice president. The 12-year veteran with Border States was most recently senior vice president of finance. She is also a member of the NAED board of directors and serves as chairman of the NAED finance committee.

Hughes Supply Inc. (Orlando, Fla.): With more than 17 years experience in human-resource management, Laura Wright has been promoted to senior vice-president human resources from vice-president human resources.

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (Rosslyn, Va.): NEMA's board of governors elected four new board members at its meeting on July 18: Kenneth Honeycutt, president and chief executive officer of Acuity Lighting Group; Gregory B. Kenny, president and chief executive officer of General Cable; Thomas N. McCausland, president and chief executive officer of Siemens Medical Solutions; and James L. Packard, chairman and chief executive officer of Regal-Beloit.
