Walter Kaihatu has been named vice president of sales for Streamlight Inc., Norristown, Pa. Kaihatu will also continue to act as director of sales for industrial, safety and fire markets. He has held that position since he joined the company in 1998.

Judith Gottesman has been appointed merchandising manager for Cooper Wiring Devices, Long Island City, N.Y.

Leeson Electric, a subsidiary of Regal-Beloit Corp., Grafton, Wis., has appointed Philippe G. de Gail director of marketing. De Gail was most recently with GE Industrial Systems where he served as distribution channel manager for GE electric motors in the United States and Canada. He had previously held sales and marketing positions for Baldor, Leroy-Somer and Telemecanique.

Klein Tools Inc., Chicago, has named John Phelan vice president, international. He will be responsible for developing the company's international business. Phelan has held various sales and management positions at Telex Communications Inc., SCS International, Shure Inc., Sony Corp. of America and Filmways Audio Services. James J. Radous III has been appointed vice president, international and domestic marketing. He will oversee all aspects of marketing for domestic and international markets. He has held positions at Wen Products Inc., The Chamberlain Group Inc. and Tribune Broadcasting. Lawrence Wegner has been appointed manager, marketing services. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company's marketing, branding, communications, graphic design, advertising, merchandising and public relations. He has held marketing management positions at Valspar, Cooper Lighting, Juno Lighting and Fellowes.

Pat Mikucki has been named marketing communications manager for Philips Lighting Co., Somerset, N.J. She was previously in charge of market development for Ideal Industries.

Inez Kemp has been named accounting and vendor representative for EPI-Electrical Enclosures Inc., San Antonio. Fernando Uribe has been named executive assistant to the chief executive officer.

Diarmuid McSweeney has been named vice president, marketing and product development for Holophane, Newark, Ohio. He was most recently director of the industrial product and market development group. Keith Keller has been named vice president of sales. He was previously vice president of synergy project management.

The board of directors of General Cable Corp., Highland Heights, Ky., has announced that Gregory Kenny has been promoted to chief executive officer and president. Kenny's previous title was president and chief operating officer. He has been with the company since 1982. This is in conjunction with the announcement that current chairman and chief executive officer, Stephen Rabinowitz, is retiring. Jack Welsh III has also been appointed nonexecutive chairman. Welsh has been a director of the company since shortly after its initial public offering in 1997. He is currently the managing director of Continuation Investments Group Inc.

JJI Lighting Group Inc., Greenwich, Conn., has announced a broad reorganization of the company into four business groups, and has appointed personnel accordingly: James Haworth has been promoted to group vice president for indoor lighting. Ian Ibbitson has been promoted to group vice president for outdoor lighting. Robert Haidinger Jr. has been promoted to group vice president for architectural/decorative lighting. Markus Hoffmeister has been named head of the JJI European Lighting Group and will continue as general manager of the Hoffmeister Co. Also, Charles Florio has been promoted to vice president and chief financial officer for JJI. He was previously controller for the company. Heinz Filzer has been promoted to vice president of product development.
