At Standard Electric, Wilmington, Mass., Steven G. Brand has been named chairman. He will continue to serve as the company's chief executive officer.

At Standard Electric, Wilmington, Mass., Steven G. Brand has been named chairman. He will continue to serve as the company's chief executive officer. Dennis Miller has been named president. He also will assume the duties of executive vice president and chief operating officer, although he will not carry those titles.

At BICCGeneral, Highland Heights, Ky., Michael Bousquet, vice president of sales, electrical distribution, is retiring after 25 years with the company. Jerry Slagler, most recently southeast regional manager, will succeed Bousquet. Dan Ambrose, eastern regional manager, has left the company. Tony Cutri, formerly with BICC plc, has been named eastern regional manager.

At Belden, Inc., St. Louis, Paul Schlessman has been named vice president of finance, treasurer and chief executive officer. He joined Belden in 1997 as vice president and general manager, Alpha Wire Division. He succeeds Richard Reece, who was named president of the Belden Communications division following the company's acquisition of Cable Systems International.

Daniel Davidenko has been named vice presidentof OEM sales at Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc., Alpharetta, Ga.

Glenn Bordfeld has been appointed director of Juno Lighting, Inc., Des Plaines, Ill. He currently serves as president and chief executive officer.

Ernest Hatfield has been named vice president of Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing, New Holland, Pa. Prior to this appointment he was general manager for Alcatel Shanghai Optical Fiber Cable Co. Ltd.

At Dealers Electrical Supply, Waco, Texas, Scott Bracey has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer. He previously vice president/senior operations officer. Tony Newberg, previously vice president of sales and marketing, has been appointed senior vice president, sales and marketing. c Jami Wilson has been elected president of the National Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO), Des Moines, Iowa, for a two-year term.

At Warren Electric Group, Houston, Texas, Malcolm Watson, Sr., Austin Watson and Tony Watson retired from Watson/Warren after a combined total of 150 years in the electrical industry. Malcolm also retired from Warren's board of directors. He was formerly president of Watson Electric, which was acquired by Warren Electric in 1997.

At Fromm Electric Supply of Reading, Reading, Pa., Jerry Pritko has been named vice president, sales operations. He was most recently executive vice president of Fromm Electric Supply, Bethlehem, Pa. (not affiliated with Fromm Electric Supply of Reading). Lou Fromm has been named manager of the company's Souderton branch . He was recently chosen to represent the Northeast Region of the National Association of Electrical Distributor's YET (Young Executives of Today) program.

Charles Collat Sr., chief executive officer of Mayer Electric Supply, Birmingham, Ala., was recently honored with the Executive of the Year award by the Birmingham Business Journal at their "Best of the Year Business Awards" ceremony. The award recognizes outstanding performance in the business community. Collat was commended for the growth and contributions of Mayer Electric Supply, as well as his support of educational, civic and charitable causes.

Ross Grainger Crow, eastern division manager for Dealers Electrical Supply, Waco, Texas, died July 5. He was 63. Crow began his career with Dealers in 1961. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Bubba and Nickey; three daughters, Janice Ayers, Lana Keller and Lisa Crawford; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
