Glenn R. Bordfeld has been named president and chief operating officer of Juno Lighting, Des Plaines, Ill. The 16-year company veteran will be responsible

Glenn R. Bordfeld has been named president and chief operating officer of Juno Lighting, Des Plaines, Ill. The 16-year company veteran will be responsible for all corporate operations for Juno Lighting, as well as its subsidiaries, Indy Lighting and Advanced Fiberoptic Technologies (AFT).

At Eaton Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, Jerry R. Whitaker has been promoted to vice president Power and Control Systems Operation for its Cutler-Hammer business unit. Previously, he was general manager of the Cutler-Hammer Engineering Services and Systems Operation in Pittsburgh. He replaces David M. Adams, who has been promoted to vice president, Hydraulics and Aerospace Integration.

At General Cable Corp., Highland Heights, Ky., Mark A. Schlagheck has been appointed national account manager, retail sales, responsible primarily for the company's sales of wire and cable products to selected national retail accounts. He joined General Cable from Nutone, Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio. Jodi Lower Mahon has been appointed to the new position of vice president for business and corporate development. She was formerly vice president and general manager of the company's Automotive Products. Roger A. Roundhouse has been named business unit manager of Automotive Products. Previously, he was the manager of the company's European Automotive Operations. Tim Birckbichler, previously Cordset product manager, has been named unit manager of Cordset.

At Hioki USA Corp., Cranbury, N.J., a newly formed division of Hioki E.E. Corp. of Nagano, Japan, the following people were named: Izumi Masago, president; Manuel Fernandes, sales manager; Wayne Price, executive vice president; John Luchka, vice president of marketing. Masago, with Hioki in Japan for more than 25 years, is now in the New York office. Fernandes, Price and Luchka were previously with Amprobe Instruments, Lynbrook, N.Y. Hioki E.E. of Japan is a designer and manufacturer of electrical test equipment.

At Intermatic, Inc., Spring Grove, Ill., Tim Taylor has been named vice president of sales and marketing. For the past eight years he was director of sales. Michael Einstein has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president of market development. He was previously the director of marketing and consumer products.

At Current Technology, a subsidiary of Danaher Corp., Irving, Texas, Joseph W. Roark was named president. He succeeds Walter D. Rogers, Jr. Roark joined Danaher in 1998 as manager of Group Development. In June he became sales and marketing vice president of Current Technology and Joslyn Electric Systems. Ernesto Bobadilla, formerly Latin America regional sales manager, has been appointed international accounts manager, responsible for international market management and development for both Joslyn and Current Technology branded products. David Carroll has been appointed senior product manager, responsible for both Joslyn and Current Technology product development. Marie Dupree has been appointed supervisor, Inside Sales. Michael Gold has been appointed product manager, Joslyn Brand Products.

Karen Ponce has been named vice president of Shat-R-Shield, Inc., Salisbury, N.C. She was previously director of sales.

Randy Joslin has been appointed communications specialist for the Electrical Apparatus Service Association, St. Louis, Mo. He will serve as editor of EASA's newsletter, Currents, and work on projects related to promotions, membership retention and public relations.

At FC Lighting Manufacturers, Lombard, Ill., Greg Hill was named manager of the company's regional sales manager network. Bruce Spencer, formerly a regional sales manager for Illumination Concepts and Lightalarms Electronics, was named Southeastern region sales manager. Joseph Touchstone,. formerly a lighting manufacturers' representative, was named Midwestern regional sales manager.

Steve Brambach has been named to the newly created position of International Market manager, SDV/Datacom, at Greenlee Textron, Rockford, Ill. Most recently, he was an international sales manager and a market manager for several leading technology companies.

At Becker Electric Supply, Dayton, Ohio, Bill Ferrell has been named account manager, responsible for developing new industrial/OEM business in the Cincinnati market. Ferrel was an electrical industry rep for 13 years and spent12 years as an independent distributor. William P. Mascara has been named automation sales manager, responsible for developing industrial OEM accounts in Dayton. He has 30 years of technical experience in automation application, control products and sales management.

Steve Barker has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at Cummins Utility Supply, Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, he will oversee the company's construction and industrial operations. He was most recently vice president of marketing for Rexel, Inc., Coral Gables, Fla.

John Polonye has been named vice president of operations at H. Leff Electric Co., Cleveland, Ohio. Most recently, he was the director of purchasing and inventory control at French-Gerelman Electric Co.

Chris Newport has been named vice president of operations for Eagle Electric Supply Co., Inc., Norwood, Mass. Most recently he was a sales manager at Boston Edison. He has also held positions at GE Supply, including branch manager of their Stoneham, Mass., location.

At CSA International (formerly The Canadian Standards Association), Ontario, Canada, Robert M. Griffin has been named president and chief executive officer. He succeeds John E. Kean, who is retiring. after 20 years. Prior to joining CSA, Griffin worked as area director for the European region for U.K. -based Burmah-Castrol PLC.

Earl Print, a 38-year lighting-industry veteran, has been appointed director of sales development and lighting education at Lightolier, Fall River, Mass. He was most recently the manager of the Philips Lighting Center in New Jersey. Keith Hays has been named president of White Electric Supply Co., Monroe City, Mo. He was previously the company's vice president.

At Summit Electric Supply Co., Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., Dave Meredith, former vice president of sales and a co-founder of the company, retired in early February. Meredith was with the company 22 years. Chris Descher has been named vice president of operations.

David Oriatti has been named central regional sales manager for Daniel Woodhead Co., Northbrook, Ill. Most recently he was west central regional manager for Gould Shawmut.

At Wago Innovative Connections, Brown Deer, Wis., Scott Ballering has been named western senior sales applications engineer. He was previously a senior product support engineer. John Kenworthy, formerly the marketing manager, has been named marketing communications manager. David Monfre has been named national accounts manager. He was most recently regional sales manager. Bob Leach, formerly a regional manager for the South Central area, has been named zone manager.

At Sea Gull Lighting, Riverside, N.J., Clayton Childs was appointed district sales manager for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Paul Stanton was appointed district sales manager for Washington, Oregon, Montana, Indiana, Arkansas and Canada. The following sales representatives also were appointed: John Childs for Delaware and Pennsylvania; John Murphy for northern New Jersey; Taylor Rightmire for Pennsylvania, Mike Falgoust for Louisiana and southern Mississippi; Brent Courtney for Tennessee, western Mississippi and Arkansas; Mark Wegman for southern Illinois and eastern Missouri; Dick Risle for Oregon; and Roger Williams for Utah.

Obituary: Industry veteran Hollis Glenn Craft, Jr., died in early February after a long battle with brain cancer. He was 55 years old. Craft was vice president of Bryant Electric Supply, Lowell, N.C., where he had worked since 1971. He was promoted to branch manager and then to vice president a short time after his father retired from the company in 1985. Craft is survived by his brother, Mickey, sister-in-law, Nancy and two nephews.
