At Pass & Seymour/Legrand, Syracuse, N.Y., William Nuckols, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board, has retired. Thomas Edmonds was named as his successor last year. Dean Pournaras has been named director of marketing. Previously, he was the company's residential market manager. Mark Barthel, formerly a regional vice president, has been named national sales manager. Susan Smith, most recently director of marketing, has been named director of data communications.

At Graybar Electric Co., St. Louis, Mo., D. Beatty D'Alessandro has been named director of strategic planning and business development. Richard Robinson has been named national inventory planner. Nancy Porter has been named project manager, Lucent Fulfillment Program. Todd English has been appointed branch manager at Spokane, Wash. Javier Garcia has been appointed branch manager at Santa Barbara, Calif.

George Merritt has been named vice president of sales for Aetna Insulated Wire, Aetna Wire, Hartselle, Ala. He was previously the national sales manager for Circle Wire, a sales division of Cerro Wire & Cable, Inc., also headquartered in Hartselle.

Roger Malatt has been promoted to vice president, Electrical Wholesale Sales, at Maple Chase Co./Uni-Line North America, Downers Grove, Ill. He most recently served as regional sales manager and national account manager for the company's HVAC/R division.

Stanley Florance has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer at Integrated Electrical Services, Inc., Houston, Texas.

At NxTrend Technology, Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo., Joel Kremke has been named the first vice president of marketing. He was previously general manager of vertical markets for JBA International, Inc. Bob Davidson has been named manager, Canadian Operations. He was most recently vice president of services at the company's corporate headquarters.

Brian McKiernan has been promoted to vice president, global services training, at Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., Coopersburg, Pa. He will oversee training and education of employees, representatives, distributors, specifiers, contractors and end-users.

Blake Sexton has been named southwest regional manager at Border States Electric Supply, Fargo, N.D. He was previously the company's industrial/datacom sales manager in the Southwest region. He succeeds Bob Gill, who has retired.

Jim LaPointe has been named product group marketing manager for high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps at Osram Sylvania, Danvers, Mass. He was previously product marketing manager for compact fluorescent lamps.

Bill MacDonald has been named datacom inside sales manager of the Network Solutions Division at NESCO, Canton, Mass. He brings with him 20 years' experience in the electronics, electrical and datacom industries.

George Dove has been promoted to manager of the Laurel, Md., branch of Dominion Electric Supply Co., Inc., Arlington, Va. He was previously counter manager and then assistant manager.

At Platt Electric Supply, Inc., Beaverton, Ore., Bill Currie has been named IS director in the Branch Support Center. Previously, he was the Clackamas branch manager. Shawn Murrow has been named Resource Center manager.

Barbara F. Vanyo, vice president of Vanyo, Inc., Somerset, Pa., has been named one of Pennsylvania's "50 Best Women in Business." The 50 were selected based on professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and power and influence in the business world. Lt. Gov. Mark Schweiker recognized the honorees at an awards reception May 17 at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center. Vanyo, Inc., a distributor of high voltage electric products, was acquired recently by Temple, Inc., Grand Prairie, Texas.
