Chris C. Richardson, a 27-year veteran of Groupe Schneider-North America, Palatine, Ill., was promoted to president and chief executive officer. He had served as president and chief operating officer since 1997.

Timothy J. King was named executive vice president of Superior Electric Supply Co., Elyria, Ohio, and was elected to the board of directors. Previously, the 15-year company veteran was vice president and sales manager.

Michael A. Winegard was named national sales manager for the Western Lighting division of Spring City Electrical Manufacturing Co., Spring City, Pa. Previously, he was regional sales manager for Kramer Lighting, Inc.

Charles W. Stankiewicz was named general manager, Power Quality Solutions business unit, at American Superconductor, Westborough, Mass. Most recently, he was vice president of power development for ABB's power generation business in the U.S.

At Good Friend Electric, Toms River, N.J., Zev Rosen was appointed chairman of the board. His son, David Rosen, was named president.

At Pass & Seymour/Legrand, Syracuse, N.Y., Thomas A. Edmonds was named president and chief executive officer. Most recently, he was with the European unit of Berg Electronics Corp., a manufacturer of computer and datacom electronics. William M. Nuckols will remain as chairman of the board.

Bill Carnes was promoted to account manager, distributor sales, at Southwire Co., Carrollton, Ga. He was most recently a representative in the distributor sales customer service center.

Edward C. Carroll has been named vice president of sales and marketing at King Wire, Inc., North Chicago, Ill. He was most recently vice president of sales and marketing for Cowen Cable.

At American Insulated Wire Corp., Pawtucket, R.I., Donald A. Wagner was appointed regional sales manager for Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. In 1991 he founded the Wagner Electrical Sales agency in southern California. Edd Sidinger will continue as regional sales manager for California, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. Andrew "Andy" Reeves, Southern region sales manager, has retired. Bob Famiglietti, an AIW regional sales manager, will assume responsibility for the Southern region.

Chris Burns was named president and chief operating officer of AVO International, Dallas, Texas. Since 1994 he was the managing director of AVO International Ltd. in the United Kingdom.

At Argo International, New York, N.Y., John P. SantaCroce was promoted to president. He will retain the title of chief operating officer. Ron McLeod was promoted to vice president of the Oilwell Service division.

Fred Fricke, vice president of operations at Sea Gull Lighting Products, Inc., Riverside, N.J., retired after 44 years in the lighting industry. He began his career in 1954 with Progress Lighting, Dallas, Texas, and advanced through that company's operation until 1987 when he left to become vice president of marketing at Sea Gull.

Ed Goodstein was named president of the Broadband division at Anicom, Inc., Rosemont, Ill. He previously served as chief executive of TW Communication Corp., acquired by Anicom last year.

Richard Comtois was appointed product marketing manager for incandescent lighting products within the General Lighting business unit of Osram Sylvania, Danvers, Mass. Most recently, he was merchandising manager in the consumer products organization.

Vicki Gardner was promoted to branch manager of the Forest, Va., Lighting Design Center of Williams Supply, Inc., Roanoke, Va. Previously, she was director of marketing.
