Cooper Bussmann, Inc., St. Louis, is the new primary sponsor for the No. 63 NASCAR Craftsman Truck operated by the MB Motorsports race team and driven by Scott Lynch. The sponsorship is the first for Cooper Bussmann in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
“The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a natural fit,” explains Bob Bender, vice-president marketing, Cooper Bussmann. “It's a high-performance, high-technology, and fast-paced sport. We want to reflect those same qualities with our new products and services, technical expertise and emphasis on customer downtime reduction.”
Cooper Bussmann will run a limited schedule of races including Dover, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Atlanta and Homestead-Miami. Lynch, a 27-year-old Boise, Idaho, native, will drive a full schedule in the No. 63 truck for MB Motorsports. Lynch's career highlights include 2003 NASCAR Winston Series West Champion and 2003 Winston Series West Rookie of the Year. Lynch has started nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events with four top 20 finishes.
“NASCAR is the fastest-growing spectator sport in North America,” Bender added. “It's an exciting venue for our distributors to host their customers.”
