Industrial Electric Wire & Cable Inc., an employee-owned distributor of wire, cable and associated products, headquartered in New Berlin, Wis., is moving forward with a joint venture that will place distribution inventory in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Industrial Electric will partner with Ricardo Garcia, with whom Industrial Electric had informally partnered for the last year. Garcia, an engineer with a master's degree in business, brings sales and management experience in the United States and Mexico with companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Siemens.
Industrial Electric and Garcia have agreed to formalize their relationship and place distribution inventory in Aguascalientes, which is centrally located in the Mexican industrial heartland. The parties believe this will allow them to better serve the growing industrial base in nearby cities such as Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City. The North American Free Trade Agreement continues to support Mexico's rise as a manufacturing center for the entire continent.
Industrial Electric is a growing distributor of wire, cable and associated products, with annual sales in excess of $100 million. It was ranked No. 61 on Electrical Wholesaling's most recent Top 200. Over the years it has expanded from its headquarters in New Berlin by adding stocking facilities in Cleveland; Greenville, S.C.; Dallas; and Phoenix.
