Electrical Wholesaling magazine is once again collecting data for its annual ranking of the Top 200 electrical distributors. The ranking will be included in the June issue of the magazine.
We know from experience that Electrical Wholesaling’s Top 200 is studied and saved by many manufacturers, distributors, acquirers, analysts and investors. Within the electrical wholesaling industry, being listed brings a company considerable prestige, much as making the Fortune 500 does for U.S. businesses in general.
The determination of a firm’s size for this ranking is based primarily on dollar sales. It is difficult for us to rank your company accurately without a revenue number for 2005. If you do not provide us with your 2005 dollar sales and we feel, on the basis of past history and other source material, that your firm should be ranked, then we must of necessity resort to estimating - and that might not do your firm justice. Your response will assure that the published ranking is accurate and reliable.
As an alternative, you can take the “confidential” approach. Simply write “confidential” next to the sales figure, and we will use the data to accurately rank your company, but we won’t publish the sales figure. This year, you have two options for completing your survey.
