GE Supply, Shelton, Conn., recently opened a new Tech Center in Milwaukee, Wis. This nation-ally available center provides one-stop techni-cal support, direct ordering, and immediate de-livery from one the country's largest on-site inventories of GE Industrial Systems general purpose industrial control products.
The Tech Center will supply GE Fanuc products for automation customers and have staff specialists for its general-purpose control component who can provide technical assistance to customers with application questions.
Dick Noel, author of "Skirting Disaster," in EW's August issue (page 26), asked us to clarify one of his observations on B2B portals and other online purchasing options that he felt was misrepresented in the article. Clicks-and mortar companies invest in inventory and use B2B as an additional means of soliciting business for services.
