Marvin Kogod, 88, a long-time executive with Maurice Electrical Supply, Washington, D.C., passed away March 15 in Boca Raton, Fla. His wife, Muriel, predeceased him. Kogod joined the family business in 1951 and over the years built up the company's commercial lighting department, which became part of the foundation of much of its growth in the D.C. market. Kogod retired in 1994 to Boca Raton to play tennis and golf. His sons, Bruce and Mark, continued the family business until it was sold in 2008 to U.S. Electrical Services Inc. Grandson Jack Kogod works in the commercial lighting department at Maurice that Marvin started.

Edward McClinton, 79, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Feb. 25. He spent his career in the electrical business and worked with Crouse-Hinds, Nunn Electric and Warren Electric (Houston), where he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret McClinton of Nacogdoches; children, Cathy Stanton and husband John of Clarksville, Tenn.; Larry McClinton and wife Charlotte of Houston; Suzy Hall and husband Mark of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Gary McClinton of Nacogdoches; a sister, Shirley McDaniel and husband Bill of Kingwood, Texas; and many grandchildren.
