FCI-Burndy Products (Manchester, N.H.): As part of FCI's sales and marketing industry-specific initiative for the construction, maintenance and repair (CM&R) industry, Bob Courcy assumes the role of national CM&R marketing manager, and Bill O'Neill is named national CM&R sales manager. Working as a team, they are responsible for developing strategies and tactics to provide enhanced support specifically for the CM&R market. Prior to joining FCI Burndy, O'Neill spent 17 years with Thomas & Betts in various positions. Courcy was director of sales and marketing for the southeast division of Rexel before coming to FCI Burndy.
Lutron Electronics (Coopersburg, Pa.): John E. Longenderfer has assumed the role of chief executive officer, and Michael W. Pessina has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Longenderfer most recently was president and chief operating officer. Pessina will ensure that the company's business units engineer and launch their products on time. He will oversee manufacturing and guide sales efforts to ensure that the company's sales force achieves its goals. Dave Odess has been promoted to vice president of international sales. With Lutron since 1995, Odess most recently was director of European operations.
Advance Transformer Co. (Rosemont, Ill.): The company has announced the following additions to its organization: Ron Bezdon, director, business development; Kent Crouse, director, product design engineering; Bruce Rhodes, project manager, M.E.; and Jeff Smith, purchasing manager. All were previously employed by ESI Inc.
GB/Gardner Bender (Milwaukee, Wis.): Ed Staple has been named company president. He joined Gardner Bender in July 2002 as vice president of sales and marketing. Before that he was executive vice president of sales and marketing for Textron Fastening Systems.
Stuart C. Irby Co. (Jackson, Miss.): Homer Gordon has been named vice president of sales. Gordon has more than 26 years experience with the company, most recently as industry vice president for the southern Allen-Bradley region.
Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): Scott Muse has been appointed group vice president Hubbell Lighting Inc. He was also elected an officer of the corporation. Muse succeeds Wesson Brown, who is retiring after more than 26 years with the company. Glenn Swenson, vice president business development for Hubbell Wiring Systems, retired effective Dec. 31, 2002, after 38 years with the company.
Pass & Seymour/Legrand (Syracuse, N.Y.): Jeffrey Mehrer has been appointed product manager, industrial products. Mehrer has eight years of industrial product experience having worked at LTV-Copperweld and Hubbell Wiring Devices-Kellems in both regional sales and product manager positions. He will be responsible for Pass & Seymour's line of industrial products.
Cooper Wiring Devices (Long Island City, N.Y.): A part of the Cooper-Wiring-Devices team since 1996, Rick McDonnell has been promoted to vice president of the Consumer Sales Division. Previously, he served as director of the division.
National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (Washington, D.C.) Members have elected as chairman of the NAW board of directors Andre B. Lacy, chairman and CEO of LDI Ltd., Indianapolis. Lacy succeeds W. Grady Rosier of McLane Co., Temple, Texas. Rosier will serve on the NAW Board as immediate past chairman. NAW also named industry officers for 2003. Robert Reynolds, chairman, president and CEO, Graybar Electric Co., St. Louis, Mo., elected second vice chairman.
