United Electric Supply Co. (New Castle, Del.): Joseph Saffer is now V.P. of sales for the Maryland-D.C.-Virginia market. He joined United in December 2009 and has held senior sales management positions with Summit Electric Supply, World Electric Supply/Sonepar, Hughes Supply and Graybar Electric. Saffer earned a BS degree in political science and psychology from Jacksonville University.

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Sunnyvale, Calif.): As of Oct. 1, Aldo Kamper is succeeding Dr. Rüdiger Müller who is retiring after heading the optoelectronic semiconductor business for 22 years at OSRAM and formerly at Siemens . Kamper started his professional career at OSRAM in 1994 and between 1999 and 2006 held executive positions at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in the fields of automotive and visible LEDs. Since 2006, he has held the post of executive V.P. and general manager, Specialty Lighting at OSRAM Sylvania in the U.S.

Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): Hubbell's board of directors has elected Neal Keating as a director of the company. Keating is chairman, president and CEO of Kaman Corp., Bloomfield, Conn. Prior to joining Kaman, Keating was chief operating officer of Hughes Supply, and before that he was managing director and chief executive officer at GKN Aerospace and served as an executive director on the board of directors of GKN, Plc and on the board of directors of Agusta-Westland.

MaxLite (West Caldwell, N.J.): Heather Vail is the company's new Residential Utility Program coordinator. She worked the past six years at Lockheed Martin managing implementation of utility programs throughout New England and will now be responsible for MaxLite's participation in residential efficient lighting programs across the United States.

Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis): David Bender will be the company's district V.P. for Seattle regional operations effective Nov. 1. Bender will replace Ken Sparks, who will be retiring after 42 years with the company. Bender started his career with Graybar in 1988 and has served in a broad range of sales and management roles, most recently as director of comm/data sales in the company's California district. He holds a BS in business administration from West Virginia University.

Horizon Lighting & Energy Services (HLES) (Quincy, Mass.): Jenifer Parke is now part of Horizon Solutions' Lighting and Energy Services team as business development manager in upstate New York. She has an extensive background in the lighting and energy-efficiency business, and will work with new and existing customers to design and implement energy-efficient systems that will generate the greatest return on investment for customers' efficiency projects. She has previous experience in account management for a factory-direct lighting manufacturer; specification design with architects and engineers; account management for distributor sales; and most recently sales management at a national energy-efficiency company. She will be based out of Horizon Solutions' Rochester, N.Y., office.

Fulham Co. Inc. (Hawthorne, Calif.): The company recently appointed Mark Hood as OEM sales manager for the South Central region. Hood will be responsible for managing Fulham's OEM business in the following states: Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona and a portion of California. He has more than 19 years of experience in lighting, has served as a voting member in NEMA's Ballast and Lighting Systems Division, and most recently held the position of national accounts manager for Robertson Worldwide, where he was responsible for all of the southern and western United States.

Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA), St. Louis: Jasper Fisher received EASA's 2010 Exceptional Achievement Service Award. Fisher, the vice president and general manager of Rexel Motor Repair, Alton, Ill., served as EASA's chairman of the board in 1999-2000 and as a EASA chapter officer and committee member.

Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. (Melville, N.Y.): Gino Dabbicco has been appointed Northeast regional sales manager for Leviton's Distribution Sales Division; John LaMontagne is now director of specification sales for the company's Lighting Management Systems business; and David Weigand has been appointed Northwest regional sales manager for the company's Lighting Management Systems business.

In his career of almost 30 years with Leviton, Dabbicco has held a series of key positions in sales and marketing, including corporate director of marketing; national director of sales for the Connected Home initiative; marketing director for the Residential Business Unit; commercial marketing manager; Distribution Sales Representative; supply chain supervisor; and inside sales representative. LaMontagne began his career with Leviton in 1994 as a specification engineer for the Distribution Sales group, and over the past sixteen years also served as the Northeast regional sales manager for Distribution; Eastern region manager for National Accounts; national corporate training manager and Northeast regional manager for Lighting Management Systems.

Weigand began his career with Leviton as a product manager for the company's lighting management systems business and was named national accounts manager in 2008. Before joining Leviton, he worked as manager of lighting and electrical standards for the Starbucks Coffee chain, where he developed standards for energy efficiency and created lighted environments that enhanced customer satisfaction.

EYE Lighting International (Mentor, Ohio): Robert Freitag has been appointed V.P. of marketing. He joins EYE from Philips Day-Brite, where he most recently served as product manager for Philips Capri. Prior to his experience with Philips, Freitag also held several marketing positions with Cooper Lighting, including manager for HID and fiber optic product lines. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Design from Kent State University.

Lighting Services Inc. (Stony Point, N.Y.): Elena Kushinskaya has joined this lighting manufacturer as the regional sales manager for the western United States and western Canada. She is a degreed electrical engineer with an MBA from Pepperdine University and brings over 17 years of engineering and technical sales experience to the company's sales team. Kushinskaya will manage and support the representative network through product training, and work closely with the design and specification community to keep them updated on the latest products and services LSI has to offer.

Westinghouse Lighting Corp. (Philadelphia): John Broughton has been appointed national utility program manager. He comes to Westinghouse with more than 10 years of experience in the utility arena and has worked directly with D&R International, the Department of Energy and MaxLight. Broughton will be responsible for utility incentive programs with Westinghouse Lighting's customer base in retail, commercial and industrial channels.
