Fastenal reports 5.3% increase in 2Q 2013 revenues

Fastenal Co., Winona, Minn., reported a 5.3% increase in its 3Q 2013 sales to $847.6 million and a 5.1% sales increase for the first six months of 2013 to $1.66 billion. During the first six months of 2013 the company opened 33 new branches, and through June 30 it now has 2,677 locations.  The company also installed 8,454 of its FAST Solutions industrial vending machines in customer locations this year and now has 29,549 of these units dispensing its MRO products out in the marketplace.
