To make it easier for residents of Chicago's 10th Ward to go green, EverLights, a provider of recycling services, now has a drop-off site for old computers, monitors, printers and TVs. The drop-off site is located inside the facility of its sister company, Evergreen Supply Co., Chicago. The items that Everlights recycles include fluorescent bulbs, HID lamps, PCB and non-PCB ballasts, hazardous waste, batteries and computers.
Kelly Aaron, founder and president of Everlights, said the company wants to make it easier for community residents to safely dispose of their hazardous waste. All items dropped off will be de-manufactured and recycled in the U.S. “Proper disposal is not only the right thing to do but it's the law,” says Aaron. “Recyclable material must be properly packaged and shipped to a qualified recycling facility. Our job is to make that happen.”
EverLights is a certified WBE/SBE company that provides personalized recycling services to a wide array of companies including University of Chicago, Millennium Park, John Hancock Center and the State of Illinois.
