With the cancellation of the in-person conference due to coronavirus concerns, the new virtual event will now span two weeks and offer a flexible schedule to accommodate registrants.
The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Board of Directors recently announced that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 IES Annual Conference has been canceled and will be moving to a virtual setting for the safety of its members, staff, supporters, vendors and volunteers. Originally scheduled for August 6-8 in New Orleans, the online event will now take place from August 24-28 and August 31 through September 4, with two blocks of sessions each day.
Cost of registration is $249 for members and $349 for non-member, with reduced rates for emerging professionals (EPs) and student members. Official times are to be determined, and by providing a schedule that that offers content across two weeks, IES hopes registrants will be able to attend all sessions and not have to choose between tracks.
