Gross Electric Inc., headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, celebrates its 95th year as a family-owned and operated electrical distributor.
Gross Electric kicked off its anniversary year with a product expo in April. More than 25 vendors displayed and sold their latest innovations to 300 attendees, which included contractors, builders, designers and architects.
Although many small family-owned electrical wholesalers have been forced to close or have been acquired as a result of competition from larger chains and retail stores, Gross Electric has maintained its foothold. Today, the company has four locations: its headquarters in Toledo; and branch locations in East Toledo, Ohio; Findlay, Ohio; and Ann Arbor, Mich.
