Affiliated Distributors (A-D), King of Prussia, Pa., presented awards to its distinguished electrical affiliates and suppliers in September at its annual meeting. This year, in addition to the traditional marketing and performance awards, A-D honored one individual from an affiliate company for leadership contributions to A-D.
The award was presented to one deserving individual who, at the grass-roots level, personifies the leadership qualities essential to membership in Affiliated Distributors.
Bob Jones, director of purchasing at Raymond de Steiger Inc., Sterling Heights, Michigan, won the first ever “A-D MVP Award.”
“Bob was selected for his outstanding individual effort at implementing A-D within his organization and for his remarkable individual contributions to the overall welfare of the group, including what developed into the Growth Incentive Bonus Program,” said Bill Weisberg, A-D's chairman and CEO.
“I was both surprised and delighted to receive the first A-D MVP award,” said Jones, a 27-year veteran with Raymond de Steiger. “It feels great to have had a suggestion that was beneficial to our entire A-D group.”
