Lighting manufacturer MaxLite, West Caldwell, N.J., is donating 1,000 compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) to help victims of Hurricane Sandy who are rebuilding their homes and businesses after the storm.

“As a New Jersey company, we are proud to give back to other New Jersey residents and businesses who have suffered losses during the storm,” said Yon Sung, MaxLite president and CEO. “We appreciate the outstanding efforts and tireless work of Governor Christie, his staff and other government officials and we are pleased to contribute to this relief effort.”

MaxLite is donating 1,000 bulbs to the Hurricane Sandy Relief effort. The contribution includes 500 MaxLite Enhancement Suite 8W A19 CFL Bulbs, which replace 20W incandescent bulbs, and 500 Enhancement Suite 25W Spiral CFL Bulbs, designed as replacements for 100W incandescent bulbs. The bulbs offer instant-on capabilities, quality color, high lumen performance and long life.

The CFLs will be distributed to shore towns and residents who request light bulbs, as well as organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The United Way and many other charitable grassroots 501(c)(3) registered organizations.
