Graybar, St. Louis, said it's adding 70,000 square feet of inventory space to its City of Industry, Calif., warehouse to serve as a fully automated distribution center for its Southern California operations. The expanded facility opened in August and will have approximately 157,000 square feet of total warehouse space.
The service center will serve as the primary shipping location for Graybar's branches in Southern California and will complement Graybar's Northern California Service Center.
“In addition to utilizing the latest in warehouse technology, this expansion enhances our service capabilities by offering greater breadth and depth in our local inventories while maintaining support from our existing 200,000-square-foot Fresno zone warehouse,” said Dave Maxwell, vice president of Graybar's California district. “We continue to differentiate Graybar in the marketplace, working to the advantage of both our customers and suppliers in California.”
