Sidney Koss, a long-time employee of Syracuse, N.Y.'s City Electric Co., passed away on Feb.14. He had worked with City Electric for more than 60 years, and is missed by his fellow employees and others in Syracuse's electrical market. After serving in World War II, Koss started his career at City Electric in 1947 as a warehouse helper at the company's shipping counter. He also worked for the company as a buyer and inside salesperson. In 1997, Koss was honored by former Syracuse Mayor Roy Bernardi for his dedication and work in the electrical industry, and in June 1998 he won the Pass & Seymour Real Heroes of Electrical Distribution Award.
