At BICC General, Highland Heights, Ky., Gregory Kenny has been named president and chief operating officer. He has been executive vice president and chief operating officer of General Cable since February 1997. J. Michael Andrews has been named vice president of OEM Sales. Prior to joining General Cable, he held financial management positions with Andersen Consulting and Fifth Third Bank.

Gary J. Lehman has been named president and chief operating officer of Advance Transformer, Rosemont, Ill. He succeeds Jack Briody, who is retiring from Philips at the end of the year. Briody will remain chief executive officer until then. Lehman was with the automotive group of ITT, New York, N.Y.

Steve Helle has been named president of Granite City Electric Supply Co., Quincy, Mass. He most recently served as vice president of CLS, Hartford, Conn.

At Allied Tube & Conduit, a unit of Tyco International Ltd., Harvey, Ill., Jim Strenk has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing. Previously, he was senior vice president of Allied Tube & Conduit and general manager of the Electrical Division. Jim Hays has been promoted to general manager of the Electrical Division. Previously, he was financial manager of the Electrical Division.

At MagneTek, Inc., Nashville, Tenn., Ronald Hoge, president and chief executive officer, has resigned to pursue other interests. No new president has been named. Andrew Galef, company chairman, will assume Hoge's duties as chief executive officer.

Bob Brinkman has resigned as vice president, marketing and sales, at Hubbell Electrical Products, Orange, Conn. No plans have been announced regarding a successor.

Pat Toolan, formerly the quotations manager, was promoted to sales manager at the Jamaica, N.Y., branch of Kennedy Electrical Supply, Jamaica, N.Y.

At Greenlee Textron, Rockford, Ill., Bob Caramusa has been named director of sales-North America. Brian Julian has been named international market manager. Previously, he was a key accounts manager in the company's National Accounts department. Denise Tino has been named national accounts manager. Previously, she was a territory manager in the Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island markets. Linda Zimmerman has been named regional manager for the company's central division. She was previously a key accounts manager in the National Accounts Department.

At Emerson Electric Co., St. Louis, George Tamke, formerly president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to vice chairman and co-chief executive officer. Vice Chairman James Berges, former president of Emerson Specialty Motors, has been promoted to president and executive vice president. David Farr has been promoted to senior executive vicepresident and chief operating officer. He was president of Emerson Electric Asia-Pacific and was chief executive officer of Emerson's Astec joint venture. Most recently he was executive vice president, responsible for Emerson's process control business.

At Cooper Industries, Syracuse, N.Y., John Cower was promoted to executive vice president, sales and marketing. David Holloway has been promoted to vice president of marketing. Patrick Davin has been promoted to vice president of strategic accounts. Ron Matthews has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Canada. Bobby Bobbitt has been promoted to vice president of western region sales. Robert Fields has been promoted to vice president of Gulf Coast region sales. S. J. Measley has been promoted to director of marketing for Crouse-Hinds' Molded Products.

Michael Gramza has retired from Becker Electric Supply, Cincinnati, Ohio. He remained in the electrical industry more than 30 years. Most recently an outside sales rep, he joined Becker five years ago after a 27-year career at Osram Sylvania.

Marty Pint has been appointed vice president of U.S. sales at Hoffman Engineering Co., Anoka, Minn. His responsibilities will include overseeing distributor coverage, field sales representatives, strategic sales and territory management. He was most recently director of sales.

At Current Technology, Inc., Dallas, Toni Mihalic-Watson has been named vice president, sales and marketing. She succeeds Joseph Roark, who was appointed president. Previously, she was a marketing manager for Matco Tools.

Dave Merker has been named vice president, sales and marketing, at Cantex, Inc., Mineral Wells, Texas. In his new role, he will also become an officer of the company. He began his career with the company in 1991 as director of sales and marketing for the electrical product line.

Greg Pickard has been named national sales manager at Delta-Therm Corp., Wauconda, Ill. Previously, he was a regional sales manager for Grindmaster Corp.

Debi Geigan has been promoted to manager of the DataWorks Division of Dominion Electric Supply Co., Inc., Arlington, Va. Previously, she was an outside sales representative.

Paul McGrath has been named senior design engineer at Jefferson Electric, Inc., Franklin, Wis. Previously, he was the principal engineer for WPI Group.

Kenny Joyce has been promoted to manager of the Jersey City branch of Cooper Electric Supply Co., Jersey City, N.J. He was previously assistant manager of the Bergenfield, N.J. branch.

Phillip Murawski has been named technical sales and support services manager at FC Lighting Manufacturers, Inc., Lombard, Ill. He was previously co-founder of Elcast Lighting.

At the North Central Electrical Manufacturers Club, Bloomington, Minn., Jeff Wangstad, The Wangstad Co., Apple Valley, Minn., was elected president for 1999-2000 term. He succeeds Steve Kunkel, Bonthius Electrical Sales, Minnetonka, Minn. Jerry Pangerl, LESCO, Inc., Minneapolis, was elected vice president.

At Fromm Electric Supply Corp. of Reading, Reading, Pa., John Hanna has been named vice president of sales and marketing. He was previously the company's contractor/commercial channel manager. Bill Smith has been named industrial/OEM channel specialist. He was most recently an account manager.

Dante Venturelli has been named sales manager at Regal Manufacturing, City of Industry, Calif. He will be working with his father, Gil Venturelli. Previously, he was a marketing specialist at Alflex.

At Graybar Electric Co., Inc., St. Louis, Mo., John Hawfield has been named district sales manager for the Atlanta, Ga., office. Prior to this appointment, he was a regional vice president for All-Phase Electric Supply Co. Jeffrey Cook has been named director of national accounts. Mark Herman has been named strategic account manager. Robert Beachboard has been appointed national account manager. Javier Garcia has been named branch manager at the Santa Barbara, Calif. facility. Allan McCoy has been named branch manager at the Roanoke, Va., facility.

At CLS, Hartford, Conn., Dave Coombs has been named manager of the new branch in New Haven, Conn. Joe LiPuma and Kevin Crookston will join Coombs as sales representatives at that location. Jeff Hammond has been named manager of the West Springfield, Mass., branch. Jeff Foisy has been named assistant manager at West Springfield. Jay Hinerth has been named manager for the Worcester facility.

Dennis Smart has been appointed Northeast regional manager of Sola/Hevi-Duty, a unit of the EGS Electrical Group, Farmington, Conn. He was previously Northeast regional sales manager for Dual-Lite.

At Swift Electrical Supply Co., Inc., Nanuet, N.Y. Anthony (Tony) Bega has been named customer service representative for Westchester and Rockland counties. Andy Cannone has been named counter representative at the company's headquarters.

Jim Stephens has been named manager of the new Winter Haven, Fla., branch of Mayer Electric Supply Co., Inc., Birmingham, Ala. He was previously an inside sales representative.
