Square D Services, Palatine, Ill., will be hosting a safety conference for anyone involved with facility maintenance, power distribution or plant automation. The annual Energy, Power Distribution and Control Conference will take place Sept. 9 to 11, 2008, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J., just outside of Philadelphia. The goal of the conference is to educate professionals in areas that will increase safety, reduce lifecycle and facility costs, decrease equipment downtime and maximize power system reliability. Educational sessions in the three technical tracks — Electrical Reliability, Energy Management and Automation & Control — will focus on new electrical safety standards, compliance regulations, technologies and electrical equipment modernization. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available upon request.
“The Energy, Power Distribution and Control Conference provides a unique forum for industry professionals to receive updates on pertinent issues while learning about and discussing new technologies and service solutions in a non-commercial environment,” said Mike Rice, vice president of Square D Services. “This year's conference will feature solutions presentations, equipment studies and white papers geared to bring attendees from very diverse fields up to speed on the latest issues in power distribution, energy management, automation and control and safety. Presenters for these sessions are specialists in those fields and are well-positioned to offer insights to help attendees improve their individual operations. Panel sessions also will be a key component of the event and will give attendees a chance to direct questions to industry experts.”
