Integrated supply and national accounts group SupplyFORCE each year recognizes members for industry leadership, extraordinary contributions to the success of supplyFORCE agreements and excellent overall performance in three categories: Excellence in Sales Leadership, Owner-Member of the Year and Best Conversion Award.

For 2012, Border States Electric was named Owner-Member of the Year in the electrical division.

Celebrating Border States’ recognition by SupplyFORCE (l-r), John Eggleton, president and CEO of SupplyFORCE; Jason Dotty, supply chain services customer service specialist; Aaron Samuelson, supply chain services alliance manager; Jay Esler, South Central region business development manager for Border States; and David Meyers, vice president national accounts of SupplyFORCE.

“We are a regional distributor, and our ownership in supplyFORCE gives us the capability to deliver a single, national account solution for those customers with a base of operations across North America. Many of these customers want to purchase from the same supplier at all their locations even when we do not have branches located to serve all the locations. This award recognizes our leadership and contributions to enable a creative and effective supply chain solution within the marketplace,” said Keith Holland, BSE’s vice president, supply chain solutions.

In other news, BSE partnered with its customers to donate $56,000 to American Red Cross to support its disaster response preparation in western North Dakota.

According to a Border States press release,  with the rise in population, the need for emergency services in western North Dakota is growing. To prepare for future disaster response, the Red Cross needed a vehicle, trailer and first aid supplies for the region.

The Red Cross approached BSE to help it acquire a vehicle, trailer and first-aid supplies. BSE’s Dickinson, Minot, and Williston, N.D., branches worked with key customers in the area to support the Red Cross. Because of the support BSE received from its customer partners in this endeavor, the company surpassed its Red Cross commitment goals with a total commitment to the Red Cross of $56,175.
