Friedman Electric, Exeter, Pa., part of Sonepar USA, presented a check for $10,000 to St. Joseph’s Center, Scranton, Pa., a donation that will help the staff at St. Joseph’s help individuals and families who have special needs. Friedman Electric hosted over 200 guests at their “Friedman Classic” golf tournament, held June 6 at Blue Ridge Trail golf club in Mountaintop, Pa. Guests included Friedman employees, customers and vendors.
“It was a great feeling to have such an overwhelming response to the tournament, we were happy to fill the course with such a charitable group”, said Rich Potero, Friedman’s president. “Along with our customers, vendors and employees hosting the Friedman Classic was a great way to help St. Joseph’s Center.”
The round of golf was followed by a dinner celebration and silent auction benefiting St. Joseph’s Center. The silent auction featured items such as U.S. Open tickets, electrical products and tools, along with items donated by local organizations, all auctioned to help raise money for St. Joseph’s.
