When Raymon Roberts began working at Dixie Electric, now CapitalTristate, in 1963, John F. Kennedy was president and a new band called the Beatles was starting to change popular music. At an event honoring Roberts on June 19, 2013, John Hardy, president and CEO of CapitalTristate, thanked him for his contribution to the company’s success and presented him with a plaque marking his 50 years of service.
“Raymon has consistently been productive and a leader throughout his time here at CapitalTristate. It also speaks to the culture of the business that people want to be here,” said Hardy.
After accepting his award, Roberts talked about how fellow employees made the difference at CapitalTristate for him. He said working with such wonderful people on a daily basis continues to give him the drive and inspiration to contribute more to the company. Raymon’s wife, Brie Roberts, and his daughter, Lacy Dennis, also joined the celebration.
“Over his career, Raymon has impacted every aspect of our business. From outside sales to operations, Raymon has contributed to Dixie Electric which is now CapitalTristate in so many ways. To me, the greatest gift is Raymon’s influence on all the people he has coached, mentored and managed. This is truly a milestone that very few people ever accomplish,” said Alan Rosenfield, executive vice president and COO.
