Schaedler Yesco Adds Allentown Location with Purchase of Queen City Electrical Supply

Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. (SYD), Harrisburg, Pa., has acquired Queen City Electrical Supply, Allentown, Pa. Queen City has served Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley for more than 40 years.
Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. (SYD), Harrisburg, Pa., has acquired Queen City Electrical Supply, Allentown, Pa. Queen City has served Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley for more than 40 years. A SYD press release said Queen City's location at Third and Walnut Streets in Allentown will continue to support the local lighting, electrical, industrial and construction industries across the Lehigh Valley. Jerry Gelfman has been president of Queen City for 17 years and will continue to manage the Allentown location.
"This acquisition will provide SYD with the unique opportunity to enter the Lehigh Valley market with a reputable, well-established company with solid vendor relationships, and an experienced team of people" said Matt Brnik, president of Schaedler Yesco in a press release. The 19-location Schaedler Yesco Distribution, a fourth-generation family- and employee-owned company, was founded in 1924.
