At General Cable Corp., Highland Heights, Ky., Ronald A. Pritchett has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of the building-wire business team. He was most recently vice president, national accounts. He succeeds Harold C. Bevis, who has accepted the position of president and chief executive of Jordan Telecommunications Products, Inc. Bob Easterlin will succeed Pritchett as vice president, national accounts. Mike Bousquet will become vice president, sales, electrical distribution. Carmen Moss Hodnett has been named regional sales manager and national account manager for General Cable's Datacom group in Atlanta, Ga. Previously, she was vice president, national accounts, for the electrical channel.
John Cunningham has been named group sales and marketing manager for Panasonic Lighting and Building Products, Secaucus, N.J. Previously, he was national accounts manager in the Lighting department. Farrel Beddome has been named national accounts manager for building products, Western zone. Previously, she was with Excel Marketing Group, an independent sales agency.
Paul Royalty has been named ballast business development manager at Osram Sylvania, Danvers, Mass. Previously, he held sales and marketing posts with Power Lighting Products (formerly Valmont Electric), most recently as executive vice president of marketing and sales.
At the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), Bethesda, Md., Robert Colgan, Jr., has been named director of marketing. He succeeds Lew Tagliaferre, who retired in February 1998. A past president of NECA (1974-1979), he was most recently president of his own contracting company, Colgan-Davis, Inc. Christopher Murphy has been named editor of Electrical Contractor magazine, which is owned and operated by NECA. For the previous five years, he was manager of communications and editor of the magazine of the Automotive Recyclers Association.
John J. Veech was appointed national sales manager for High-Lites, Waterbury, Conn. Previously, he was in sales and management with Carpenter Emergency Lighting, the Sure-Lites division of Cooper Lighting and Exide Electronics.
Cheryl Danley-Koehler has been promoted to manager of marketing communications at ILSCO, Cincinnati, Ohio. Previously, she was product/market manager for Stolle Health & Nutrition.

For the first time in its 21-year history, the Washington, D.C.-based Alliance to Save Energy has elected a non-congressional co-chairman. Dean Langford, president of Osram Syslvania, Danvers, Mass., will serve alongside alliance chairman and U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman, (D-NM). Since its founding in 1977 by Senator Charles Percy, the Alliance had elected only congressional chairmen. Langford, a member of the Alliance board since 1992, has been president of Osram Sylvania and its predecessor company, GTE Electrical Products, since 1984.
