Border State Electric (Fargo, N.D.): Tom Isenberg will retire from Border States Electric (BSE) June 19. Isenberg was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo., and graduated from Haverford College and Harvard Business School. He began his career at Western Extralite Co. in 1979 and became president in 1992. From 1992 to 2014, Western Extralite opened eight new branch locations, completed four acquisitions, and entered new markets — datacomm and national accounts lighting. Isenberg and his brother, John Isenberg, owned Western Extralite Co., a third-generation family business, before they sold to BSE in October 2014. Isenberg has been nominated to serve on the BSE board of directors and will join the board in August 2015.
