Summit Electric Supply (Albuquerque, NM): Sheila Hernandez has been named the new Vice President, Chief Information and Technology Officer for Summit Electric Supply. Hernandez joined Summit in 1987 as a student intern in a part-time marketing role while completing her undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico. After moving into a full-time position and earning her MBA Hernandez rose through the company’s marketing organization to Vice President of Marketing before being named to her new role.

In addition to building an award-winning marketing department, Hernandez led Summit’s internet presence, mobile app development, master product data management system and market data analytics program. She will continue to be based in the company’s Albuquerque headquarters and will report to Victor Jury Jr., Chairman and CEO of the company.

Hernandez is active in the industry, serving on numerous committees, panels, and task forces of the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED). She spent nine years on the marketing committee and is a current member of the Futures Group Task Force for IMARK Group. She is a Gold Level graduate of NAED's Electrical Products Education Course (EPEC).

“Sheila has extensive customer, vendor and industry experience and is one of the hardest working people I have ever known,” said Jury. “I am excited to see how she will address her latest challenge and confident she will do so with the excellence she has demonstrated throughout her career.”

In her new role, Hernandez will be responsible for Summit’s information technology teams, including enterprise systems, infrastructure and operations, application development, data analytic platform, master product information management and the customer facing website, Summit.com.
