According to a National Public Radio report, the Nashville Business Journal recently launched a website called “Crane Watch” that shows the status of more than 100 major projects around Nashville’s Davidson County. Nearly a quarter of them are valued at $100 million or more. Kentucky has a $180 million expansion of the of Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville on the drawing boards and $2 billion worth of ongoing construction on the University of Kentucky’s main campus in Lexington. Other projects in this region include a $6.5 billion uranium processing facility in Oak Ridge, Tenn., expected to start next year; a $384 million tire plant in Tennessee; and a $200 million mixed-use project in Memphis, Tenn.
